While most photographer started when they were younger with some of the first digital cameras that came out, I came to photography in a much different way.

My wife and I are avid outdoor enthusiasts and enjoy exploring a wide variety of places. But when I would return home from some of these amazing places, I would find it difficult to truly share our experiences with our friends and family. So, in an effort to capture these adventures, I started to carry a camera.

While I have attempted many types of photography, it was wildlife that truly inspired me. For me, wildlife is the most challenging type of photography, for so many reasons. First of all, wildlife photography requires a whole new level of commitment. While it is possible to randomly stumble into a good wildlife photo, in order to consistently create stunning images, you have to continue to push yourself, your equipment, and your skills. Then, even when you do everything just right, your wild subject still has a say, and it can ruin everything or surprise you and do something spectacular that you would have never expected.

I hope sharing my work will promote conservation and the protection of our wildlife. Finally, always remember that there is so much wildlife in your own backyard, so get outside and create your own experiences.
